This GT3 RS driving experience puts you in Porsche's most track-focused 911 for two full days on a Grand Prix circuit in Europe, with the circuit closed to everyone but 15 drivers. A flat six that revs high, and steering that tells you what the front tyres are doing. The easiest of the three Stratos cars to learn in.
In short: Porsche 911 GT3 RS, 520 PS (991) or 525 PS (992), two days on a private Grand Prix circuit, a coach in the car, three nights included.

What it is like on track
The GT3 RS is a road car designed around the track. Its aerodynamics press the car into the road as speed rises, so fast corners feel more stable the faster you go. The engine has no turbos and revs high, which makes throttle response precise and easy to judge. The steering is the most communicative of the three cars. For most drivers that means confidence comes quickly, and confidence is what lets you learn.
The GT3 RS on a Grand Prix circuit
At the Red Bull Ring the GT3 RS feels made for the three heavy braking zones: the brakes are strong, the car stays straight and the nose turns in without fuss. Through the faster corners of the second half of the lap, the aerodynamics push the car down and give you room to carry more speed. At a tight circuit such as the Hungaroring, the light steering and rear-engine traction make it quick out of every slow corner. Wherever you drive it, the car tells you clearly how close you are to the limit, which is why it is a good car to learn in.
Why it is the best first car
- Predictable at the limit, with clear warning before it slides.
- Strong, consistent brakes lap after lap.
- Rear engine traction out of slow corners.
- The least intimidating of the three, while still a very fast car.
GT3 RS driving experience options compared
Porsche runs its own track programme in three levels, Precision, Performance and Master, with up to 30 to 48 participants per event depending on the date.
| Porsche Track Experience | Stratos | |
|---|---|---|
| Group size | Up to 30 to 48 | 15 |
| Circuit | Shared with the programme | Hired privately |
| Hotel, meals, transfers | Varies by programme | Included |
Porsche's own course is the better choice for structured training on a budget. Stratos is for drivers who want a private Grand Prix circuit, a smaller group and every detail arranged.
Where you drive it

How the two days work
Day one starts with a briefing and a seat fitting, then short sessions to learn the lap with your coach. Each session ends with a debrief and a look at the data. Day two is longer sessions and building pace, one corner at a time. Two full days on track, sessions spread through each day.
What you take home
Professional photo and video from both days, and the lap data from your sessions so you can see how your driving changed. Most of all, the confidence to drive a fast car well.

FAQ
Which Porsche do I drive?
You choose: the 911 GT3 (992), the GT3 RS (991) or the GT3 RS (992).
Is the GT3 RS good for a first track day?
Yes. It is the most forgiving of the three cars and the most common choice for a first event.
Is the GT3 RS faster than the Ferrari or Lamborghini?
On paper it has less power, but its aerodynamics and low weight make it quick through corners. For learning, outright speed matters less than how clearly the car communicates, and here the Porsche is the best of the three.
How is this different from Porsche's own track experience?
A smaller group, a private Grand Prix circuit and everything arranged.
